Where does SOOD come from?
In 2016, amidst the bustling streets of Broadway Market in the heart of London, Sood was born. Initially known as Sood Family, we took the stage by offering tasty panzerotti and sandwiches with authentic Italian delicacies, such as parmigiana and octopus ragù. As our love for cooking grew, we expanded our activities, organizing supper clubs, street food events, and catering. Our passion led us to the Old Spitalfields Market, one of London’s oldest and most renowned markets, where we had the honor of participating in Nuno Mendes’ project, The Kitchens, as the celebrated Portuguese chef.
Thanks to our unique concept, based on the freshness of homemade pasta, we have become a true reference point for Londoners. Our reputation has reached the pages of renowned magazines such as BBC Good Food, Hackney Gazeete, and others, solidifying our commitment to authentic Italian cuisine.
And how does it all end?
After successfully managing various kitchens in different venues in East London, such as Stour Space in Hackney Wick, Bottles at the Old Spitalfields Market, Well St. Kitchen in Hackney, and The Gun in Hackney, we made a courageous decision: to bring our concept, with its Italian heart and international spirit, to Carlo’s hometown, the founder of Sood… and here we are!
